One of its most distinctive features is the medullary rays flecking, giving the wood a decorative ‘’lacewood effect’’. It is generally straight-grained and has a fine, even texture, similar to that of maple. Works easily with both hand and machine tools. It turns, glues, and finishes well, allowing the natural figure to stand out beautifully.
