Our waney edge walnut slabs deliver an organic and rustic visual impact. This timber has deep chocolate and warm brown heartwood, softly contrasted by lighter sapwood, giving each piece natural contrast and depth.

Fine to medium texture and fairly uniform grain, featuring whorls and knots reminiscent of the large, majestic deciduous trees. A finisher’s dream, it is exceptionally receptive to oils and waxes, popping the grain for a high-clarity, lustrous glow.

It resists shrinkage and splitting, making it ideal for turning, profiling, and fine joinery. Smooth, stable and highly workable, it is highly desired by joinery, cabinet and furniture makers.
